Ingredient Properties

Marula seed oil

This oil has a pretty similar make up to the oils in your own body so it plays nicely with your skin; healing and hydrating it without clogging or irritating it. It’s nutritious too, feeding your skin essential fatty acids, antioxidants and nutrients that help heal skin tissue, reduce redness and blotchiness, restore skin elasticity, and protect your skin from free radical damage and premature ageing.

Prickly pear seed oil

The only thing prickly about this oil is its original cactus-like form. Absorbed quickly, this oil works to nourish, moisturise and soften the skin, leaving your lines and wrinkles smooth, your dark spots bright again, and your pores just right. Whilst it will remedy the signs of ageing, it’s also there to protect you against them, with a potent level of vitamin E and fatty acids, ensuring there’s nothing free about those free radicals.

Chia seed oil

High in essential fatty acids, this light, silky oil is especially beneficial for dry, sensitive and acne-prone skin. It’s rich in phytonutrients and antioxidants, each working to provide your skin protection against free radicals – those nasty buggers that can cause cell damage. Because of its silky and hydrating properties, it’s widely used to help minimise the appearance of fine lines and enlarged pores. The chia seed is also a great addition to a smoothie, so you’ll likely find it hanging out with the acai berry at your local café.

Avocado oil

Yes, it’s great on your sourdough with a bit of fresh lemon and chili, but it also gives your skin a whole bunch to smile about. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins, avocado oil is great for creating soft and smooth skin. It’s fast absorbing and naturally triggers collagen production in your skin, too. Best part is that it’s suitable for all skin types: from fine lines and wise wrinkles, to dry and irritated, to eczema and psoriasis, and to oily and acne prone skin.

Black seed oil

Full of powerful antioxidants, vitamin A, amino acids, phytonutrients and fatty acids, black seed oil is particularly helpful at restoring the natural health and vitality of your skin. Its anti-inflammatory, skin regeneration and hydrating properties make it suitable for all skin types, especially in cases of eczema, psoriasis and acne.

Sunflower seed oil

This easily absorbed oil is an excellent skin conditioner that works to prevent the skin from drying out. It’s high in vitamins A, C and E, as well as possessing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, making it ideal for oily skin types and acne prone skin. It’s however suitable for all skin types, and especially beneficial in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis and dry, damaged skin.

Oleo-active coconut oil and cork oak root extract

High in phytonutrients, cork oak is an effective ingredient to help reduce the appearance of inflammation and redness. It also works to protect the skin from free-radical damage and the fine lines they cause. Our extraction process makes sure potency and purity is the highest level, with no chemical reaction, no petroleum produces or organic solvents used in the process. Our lovely supplier did a clinical study to test out its effectiveness and it turns out that this unique combination reduced the appearance of skin redness by 70% after only three applications. If you’re looking to prevent premature ageing, or soothe sensitive and reactive skin, then look no further.

Spilanthes acmella flower extract

Known as ‘nature’s botox’, this flower is renowned for its ability to relax facial tension, firm your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Because we smile, frown and laugh, our skin is subjected to thousands of involuntary micro-contractions every day, which lead to wrinkles and they can become more visible over time. It is the muscle relaxant properties in spilanthes acmella that slows down these micro-contractions, making it effective at helping to reduce the appearance of these fine lines. So you can keep smiling, frowning, and laughing all day, every day.

Lupin seed extract

This Mediterranean beauty is widely loved for its ability to trigger the production of high quality collagen, promoting firmness and elasticity in your skin. Particularly, it is renowned for its ability to increase the synthesis type I collagen – the most abundant collagen that breaks down with age – which is exactly what you want if you’re experiencing mature, tired and heavy skin.

Elderberry extract

Rich in antioxidants, the elderberry fruit provides protection from free radicals that contribute to things like cell damage, premature ageing and wrinkle formation. What’s more is that it’s rich in bioflavonoids, which help to tighten skin and provide even more anti-wrinkle benefits. Overall, you get a much fresher glow and improved skin tone with the elderberry around.

Copaiba resin

A South American native, Capaiba is useful in treating sensitive skin, particularly acne-prone, due to its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory properties. This also makes it helpful in reducing redness, lightening the appearance of blemishes and healing wounds. And if you’re feeling particularly open, take inspiration from the Yaviza people of Panama who mix the resin with honey and give it to newborns to impart knowledge and ward off hexes.

Andiroba oil

Coming from the Brazilian Andiroba Tree, this seed is known for absorbing into your skin fast. It packs a punch, too, containing a whole lot of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and anti-inflammatory properties, all working to help improve eczema, psoriasis conditions, balance hormonal skin break-outs, calm acne, replenish dry skin and work to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Acai oil

It’s pronounced A-SY-EE. You may know it as the word before ‘bowl’ on every second breakfast menu. We know it as the little berry from Brazil packed with Vitamin A, B, C and E that kicked the blueberry off the podium for having the highest antioxidant count of all the berries. That means it’s the best berry to put on your skin for hydration, and for protection against free radicals – the bad guys that cause cell damage, premature ageing and loss of elasticity in your skin.

Pomegranate extract

They’re a delicious burst of flavor in any salad but they’re delicious for your skin, too, bursting with properties that each work to protect, nourish, and rejuvenate your skin. In particular, pomegranate works to trigger the production of keratinocyte – a particular cell found in the outermost layer of your skin – and stop the enzymes that break down collagen. It’s high levels of vitamin C also help support the formation of more collagen. Making it good for the insides and outsides of your body.

Calendula extract

If you spot a flower looking back at you, it’s probably the calendula. Its oil is widely used for treating various skin conditions, treating scarring, wounds, eczema, redness, acne and other inflammatory, irritated skin conditions, as well as a protection from premature ageing.

Seabuckthorn fruit extract

This oil is high in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, making it great for treating inflammation, redness and other skin sensitive issues. It also offers photo-protective properties, which means it provides natural sun-protection. Other photo-protective properties include ensuring that every angle is your good angle, and you won’t need any filter. Beneficial for all skin types.

Chamomile extract

If you’re lucky, you might stumble across a field of these and get a good selfie. But we know you’ll be luckier if you use it on your skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for calming and soothing all skin conditions, particularly sensitive and irritated skin. It works to reduce redness, minimise the appearance of broken capillaries and prevent premature ageing.

Rosehip oil

Not to be confused with Rose Essential Oil. It is extremely high in vitamin C, essential fatty acids and is known to help effectively improve dry, weathered skin – no matter the actual weather. The remarkable skin healing and regenerating properties of rosehip oil make it particularly beneficial for treating burns, scars, stretch marks and mature skin, working to reduce the effects of sun damage, fine lines and that thing called life.

Rosemary leaf extract

This tasteful seasoning fights the signs of ageing before they hit you. Anti-inflammatory (unlike the potatoes), and anti-microbial compounds, help to keep your skin firm and elastic, like the waistband in your trackies after dinner.
