Product

Cleansing Oils are the way to go. I stopped using cream or foaming cleansers long ago and my skin has thanked me for it. All of Be Genki products use the most beautiful and natural ingredients and this Purifying Cleansing Oil is no exception. It’s also amazing value btw, I’ve had my same bottle for months! It’s nice when luxury is affordable and genuine.

Purifying Cleansing Oil (100ml)

Full of calming organic botanical oils and extracts – which is code for Mother Nature’s top shelf stuff – it’s the kind of cleanser that leaves your skin feeling clean and soft, not stripped and dry. Suitable for all faces; super-sensitive, dry or oily.

Your Ritual

Dispense 2 – 3 pumps of the cleansing oil on to your fingertips, then massage into you face, neck, and your décolletage if you’re feeling fancy. Once you’ve rinsed and wringed a washcloth under warm water – we recommend organic muslin which comes as a gift with this product – gently place over your face for a few seconds.

Repeat 2 – 3 times to effectively remove makeup, impurities and environmental pollution absorbed during the day. It won’t, however, remove the block of chocolate you ‘absorbed’ at lunch. Still working on that.

The Scent

A luxurious and uplifting, yet opulently-earthy aroma. Joyful, light and subtle. To delight the senses.

Ingredient Properties

Jojoba oil

A golden liquid wax, made from the jojoba bean – which are two fun words to say together. More importantly, it can mimic our skin’s natural oils, therefore penetrate deep into our skin layers – where our cells rejuvenate – taking along other nutrients, too: essential fatty acids, vitamins A, D and E, and high levels of antioxidants. Particularly, they boast regenerative, hydrating and protective properties, helping with uneven skin tone, pigmentation, and dry, sensitive and oil skin types.

Sunflower oil

This easily absorbed oil is an excellent skin conditioner that works to prevent the skin from drying out. It’s high in vitamins A, C and E, as well as possessing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, making it ideal for oily skin types and acne prone skin. It’s however suitable for all skin types, and especially beneficial in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis and dry, damaged skin.

Calendula Extract

If you spot a flower looking back at you, it’s probably the calendula. Its oil is widely used for treating various skin conditions, treating scarring, wounds, eczema, redness, acne and other inflammatory, irritated skin conditions, as well as a protection from premature ageing.

Chamomile extract

If you’re lucky, you might stumble across a field of these and get a good selfie. But we know you’ll be luckier if you use it on your skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for calming and soothing all skin conditions, particularly sensitive and irritated skin. It works to reduce redness, minimise the appearance of broken capillaries and prevent premature ageing.

Seabuckthorn extract

This oil is high in essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins A, C and E, making it great for treating inflammation, redness and other skin sensitive issues. It also offers photo-protective properties, which means it provides natural sun-protection. Other photo-protective properties include ensuring that every angle is your good angle, and you won’t need any filter. Beneficial for all skin concerns.

Elderberry extract

Rich in antioxidants, the elderberry fruit provides protection from free radicals that contribute to things like cell damage, premature ageing and wrinkle formation. What’s more is that it’s rich in bioflavonoids, which help to tighten skin and provide even more anti-wrinkle benefits. Overall, you get a much fresher glow and improved skin tone with the elderberry around.

Vitamin E

An effective antioxidant to provide protection from environmental damage, as well as free radicals that contribute to cell damage, premature ageing and wrinkle formation. You’ll look great and feel better when they ask you for ID when shopping for your next bottle of champagne. Vitamin E also repairs scarring and improves dry, dull skin.

Rosemary leaf extract

This tasteful seasoning fights the signs of ageing before they hit you. Anti-inflammatory (unlike the potatoes), and anti-microbial compounds, help to keep your skin firm and elastic, like the waistband in your trackies after dinner.
